Podcast: Episode 1 - Free Time and How To Get It
Some more free time, anyone?
Would you like to have some more free time? Who wouldn’t? I’m confident that most of us would like to have more time available for the things we love to do right? It’s just that there are so many other things that comes in between, work, commuting even sleeping. The good news is that you, as everybody else, have 24 hours of time available every day. Yes I know it’s an obvious statement, but when you think about 24 hours it’s actually quite a long period of time. Everybody have the same amount of hours available, be it the richest person in the world or be it the poorest. One might argue that with greater resources the more “free time” one can achieve and that is of course a fact. If you could live close by your job, get assistance with grocery shopping and cleaning, having a fitness centre next door etc. you’ll likely have more free time available, but it’s up to you how to use it. Maybe there are a few levers that you can use to change your current time map into a different one? Maybe there are some things that you can alter in your life that would free up some more time for your passion?
I’m very passionate about time and interested in how different people use their time. My real interest for time and time management began when I started studying two degrees simultaneously and completed my masters degree in engineering and my bachelor degree in economics at the same time in 2010. Many people that I’ve met have said “But, that’s not possible” or “That wouldn’t be possible for me”, but somehow it was possible. For the moment I’m in the final stage of my MBA, which I’ve studied towards in parallel with my full time job. I’m no genius, but I’m a structured hard worker that knows the importance of task prioritisation and the Pareto principle (the 80/20 rule - 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes). From this my interests for time and time management have grown into a stage where I now have started my very own podcast that will be about free time and how to get it. I call it just that “Free time and how to get it” and I ask only for 10-20 minutes of your time once a week and hopefully I can help you take control of your time and together we can start your journey towards a fulfilled life! Thanks for listening and feel free to contact me with questions and request and I’ll try to help as much as a can. Let’s go get that free time!
