About Johan Edfeldt
Johan Edfeldt was born in Lund, Sweden, in 1984 and grew up in Dalby and Åhus. He has written stories since childhood and created music for as long as he can remember.
His first novel, Den försvunna färgen, was published in 2018 and became the beginning of the fantasy series Sagan om Världen Innanför. It was followed by Det förlorade svärdet in 2020 and Den stora flykten in 2023. The stories are also being brought to an international audience through the English-language series The World Within.
In 2023, Johan published The Ice Dragon’s Curse, the first book in The Realm of Polar, a darker fantasy series for adult readers. Dressed in Dragonscales followed in 2024. The series combines fast-paced fantasy, dark humour, romance, violence, magic and fractured timelines in a world shaped by its own histories, cultures and rules.
Johan is also working on När rymden viskar, a forthcoming Swedish archaeological science-fiction novel about four friends, a mysterious black cube, Doggerland, lost history and the consequences of knowledge.
His nonfiction book Performantria explores Enterprise Performance Management, strategy execution and how organisations can turn ambition into measurable action.
Alongside his writing, Johan releases original songs and instrumental music under his own name and produces audiobook editions of his fiction.
Across books, music and professional work, he is drawn to the same underlying questions: how systems work, what drives people forward and what happens when established rules are challenged.

Always Creating
There is an almost infinite number of things to explore in this world, and Johan has never been particularly interested in choosing only one.
Writing, music, technology, business and new ideas have therefore continued side by side throughout his life. Some become books. Some become songs. Some become frameworks, experiments or worlds that do not yet have a name.
He has written stories since the age of ten and created music for as long as he can remember.
This website brings those pursuits together, alongside the projects still taking shape.
There is always another story to tell.
