Welcome to Speglara, a world where logic is negotiable, luck is unreliable and even the most ridiculous legends have an awkward tendency to be true.
The Hunt for the Holy Banana begins with a problem that should not be quite as serious as it is.
The Holy Banana is rotting.
Unfortunately, so is the kingdom’s luck.
And someone has to find another one.
Meet Gibberish
Gibberish has never been particularly lucky.
This makes him an unusual choice for a quest on which the fate of an entire realm may depend.
Naturally, he is sent anyway.
Equipped with armour made from a stove door, a cooking pot for a helmet and only one shoe, Gibberish sets out in search of a replacement for the most important fruit in Chimera.
Fortunately, he has company.
There is Greenback, a monocled tortoise. A crow living in his hair. A snake in his boot. And eventually Grease, a magician whose arrival does very little to improve the overall level of common sense.
Together they cross a world of impossible creatures, suspicious geography, dangerous journeys and people who treat completely ridiculous things with absolute seriousness.
Somewhere out there is another Holy Banana.
At least, that is the theory.

Speglara is a comic fantasy world of strange kingdoms, questionable rules, unlikely heroes and adventures that rarely go according to plan.
It is absurd because its inhabitants often are.
But the danger is real.
Beneath the nonsense lies a story about friendship, courage, belonging and what happens when the person least suited to becoming a hero discovers that nobody else is going to do the job.
