Johan Edfeldt

Johan Edfeldt is a Swedish author and songwriter based in Malmö. He made his fiction debut in 2018 with Den försvunna färgen, the first book in the Swedish fantasy series Sagan om Världen Innanför. The stories later reached an international audience as The World Within, beginning with The Lost Colour and continuing with The Lost Sword and The Great Escape.

In The Realm of Polar, Johan moves into darker territory. Beginning with The Ice Dragon’s Curse and continuing with Dressed in Dragonscales, the series explores a frozen world of dragons, ancient magic, fractured timelines, survival and power.

Alongside his fiction, Johan writes about strategy and performance. His nonfiction book Performantria: Master the Game of Enterprise Performance Management connects strategy, goals, KPIs, data, decisions and execution through a practical framework inspired by retro gaming.

Beyond books, Johan releases original songs and cinematic music, including work inspired by the worlds of The World Within and The Realm of Polar. When he is not writing, working or making music, he can often be found running barefoot or working his way through another set of pull-ups.

Johan’s fantasy series The Realm of Polar explores a darker world of dragons, ancient magic, fractured timelines and deadly cold, where warmth itself can become a source of power. The World Within offers a different kind of adventure: middle-grade fantasy filled with colour magic, friendship, hidden worlds and discovery.

Johan also releases original songs and cinematic music, ranging from standalone tracks to music inspired by his fictional worlds.

For business professionals, Performantria offers a practical approach to Enterprise Performance Management, connecting strategy, goals, KPIs, data, decisions and execution.
